In this class, I will provide you with an overview of the course. I will also briefly introduce you to R and RStudio.
R is a statistical programming language that is commonly used for advanced data analysis in academia, industry, and government. Learning R will be an important practical skill that you will learn throughout the course. RStudio is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that simply makes coding and analysis in R a lot easier.
Please install both of the following programs before attending the first class. Install R first. Then install RStudio (which uses R). You can download them here:
